We have such wide weather swings in texas so..........I always have parbaked pizza crusts. I also always have frozen soup that can be thawed and reheated with either sandwiches on hand or herbed popobers (elegant but disgustingly easy). The one I use for days when I&#39;m in the house for a couple hours to cook but want to get something everyone loves on the table without work is Grandmaw Peacock&#39;s Chicken and Rice</a>, from Scott Peacock &amp; Edna Lewis&#39;s The Gift of Southern Cooking.
